Entain has announced Mark Gregory as an independent non-executive director.
This announcement is a continuation of Entain’s reorganisation of its team.
The operator recenlty appointed the former governor of Gibraltar, Ed Davis, as the first chair at Entain. It also gave German Olympion, Franziska van Almsick, an ambassadorial role.
Gregory joins the team as an expert in corporate finance with more than 35 years of experience under his belt.
From 2019 to 2020 he was the former chief executive at Merian Global and led the sale of the business to Jupiter Asset Management.
Before that he had a 19-year spell at Legal & General group, which saw him perform as CEO of the savings business, MD of the with-profits business and most recently as ED and CFO of the company when he left in 2017.
Barry Gibson, chairman of Entain, said: “On behalf of the board, I am delighted to welcome Mark to Entain. Mark brings extensive knowledge of financial and customer services through his lengthy career in the insurance and retail sectors.
“He is an experienced remuneration committee chair who brings deep finance and commercial expertise, and will further enhance the board’s ability to support and oversee the delivery of our growth and sustainability strategy,” he added.
Gregory is an associate of the Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales after qualifying with PWC. He has also worked with Asda, and Kingfisher, through senior finance and business development roles.
